OneTyme Records was initially introduced to the public in winter 2003. As a record label, its aims are to endorse Montreal Canadian talented artists worldwide and allow hip-hop to touch people’s lives. Its key founders are Feezy as he is known in the hip-hop industry, and Prince. Feezy, himself a successful Montreal artist, was initially recognized by his entourage at the early age of 14. They soon pushed him towards recording his first demo CD at 15, which promoted his unique skills and great talent. This was a move that motivated OneTyme foundation leading the company to pursue selling and supporting record and demo CD manufacturing. Soon after its creation, OneTyme records was already aggressively and independently selling their mixtapes hand to hand whether on the streets or at various events in and around their city. In a short time the label’s credibility had increased significantly.
The decision to look further for opportunities and expand business came easily to the CEO Feezy and his management in almost less than a year. Searching throughout cities and neighborhoods for top MC’s, OneTyme appointed G-Mack and SilverBack as new artists signed on to the record label.
Their success has continued to grow and their work has complemented the Canadian Hip-hop industry enormously. In the years to come, this company will continue to bring to the people what they want to hear and its main goal is promote its artists across north America and worldwide.
